Design and launching corporate Wide Area Networks (WAN)

In the contemporary conditions of business globalization, when companies are constantly growing geographically and spreading on larger territories, expanding into the new countries and continents, the possibility of joint, easy and efficient interaction of all their employees, units and branch-offices becomes essential. The combined and well coordinated work of all mechanisms inside a company is critically important for a successful business, even if people, representing the parts of this mechanism, are constantly on the run and moving around different cities and countries. With all this going on, the complicated task of IT engineers is to ensure security, reliability and high speed of the data link channels given the heterogeneous nature of the clients’ equipment and networks.

At present, the Internet, as single and universal technology on remote offices’ integration, has come to the foreground, providing easy and quickly integration of various heterogeneous networks and separate clients on high scalability level. There is no need to adjust the dial-up access point in each region anymore, it does not matter what protocol is used by a remote computer; the really important matter now is the security issue. In the presence of access to a corporate portal from all parts of the world, which is necessary to ensure its effective work, the possibility of successful attack on company resources considerably increases. Therefore, it is important to efficiently defend data link channels and corporate resources, connected to Internet, from external attacks. It is also important to ensure fault-tolerance of connections.

Our company has a large experience in designing and implementing of corporate WANs. We started doing this in the times of Dial-Up Technologies and we continue until now. Now we are solving the main problems of contemporary corporate WAN – safety and high fault-tolerance due to the use of the most advanced technologies and products.

The safety in our networks is achieved through such technologies as L2TP/IPSec and SSL, we use multifactor authentication, including verification of the client’s and server’s identity using non-exported certificates, changing access passwords and authentication of users themselves by means of certificates on their smart-cards. Moreover, there is an obligatory usage of systems of traffic filtration – firewalls, determining the rules of operation of the entire network and defending from the attacks aimed at deny of service as well.

In the WAN solutions we use the products of our partners - Check Point, Microsoft, Red Hat, Cirtix, Cisco и HP companies.

These safe and fault-tolerant virtual networks, set over the usual Internet channels allow us using more complicated and flexible technologies of interaction of employees and processes within the companies – our clients. Such products as Citrix Presentation Server and CommuniGate Pro allow enterprises using these distributed, protected and reliable networks in the interests of their business, shortening the time of return of investments (ROI) and increasing their profitability.
