Remote System Administration and Monitoring In the area of management and administration of contemporary high-tech network equipment and servers, location of the respective professionals is of no importance. In any case, all operations are done through computer network, even if the engineer is in the neighbor room. In practice, the most expensive is administration of routers, firewalls and servers. To manage these facilities it is enough just to have connection with them under the IP protocol. The actual management can be done through the following protocols: RDP, ICA, Telnet, SSH and the like. To solve such business-tasks of current importance as centralization, global interaction and flexibility of reaction on change in business conditions it became necessary to place the company’s information in special informational centers. These info-centers and collocation sites become principal placement for small anmedium enterprises’ crucial applications. These servers require constant monitoring and administration, but info-centers are unable to provide professionals which are qualified enough to solve such tasks – it’s just not their job.
